RwandAir Dubai & Mombasa flights launched
Rwandair set to fly to Dubai via Mombasa three times a week (Wednesday, Friday & Sunday).
In a lavish ceremony at Kigali International Airport launched flights to Dubai via Mombasa, operating a Boeing 737-500 configured with 12-business class and 90 economy class seats. The national carrier launched the new destinations starting with three weekly frequencies and full fifth freedom rights from the Kenyan government to carry passengers and cargo between Mombasa and Dubai.Speaking during the reception ceremony, RwandAir Chairman & CEO John Mirenge said, “We are excited at the prospect of the national carrier connecting Rwanda to the second port city of East Africa after Dar es Salaam and also the Middle East hub Dubai. We look forward to tapping into the potential presented by connecting Kigali to these key business and holiday destinations.”
RwandAir will offer both business and economy class on both routes with a promotional fare of $737 business class and $500 economy for Dubai and $499 business class and $299 economy class for Mombasa flights, all fares are tax inclusive.
RwandAir’s acquisition of two Boeing 737-500 this year has enabled the launching of the new destinations Dubai and Mombasa. The airline currently operates a fleet of two Boeing 737-500, two Bombardier CRJ and a Dash 8 with two Boeing 737-800 joining the fleet in 2011 and serves all the East African capital cities, operating daily flights.
